Jenna’s Senior Story | Downtown Miamisburg & Hauer Music | CinDay Academy Class of 2023

Jenna is Luke’s sister and is graduating early from CinDay Academy. The only problem I had photographing Jenna’s senior session was that I didn’t want to stop! We had over a thousand pictures of creative fun exploring downtown Miamisburg at sunset and jamming out at Hauer music store. Thanks to the laid back peeps at Hauer for letting us use their amp room and guitar wall for the best kind of loud and colorful display…

One word to describe me is eager.

I get along well with people older than me and I’m not afraid to talk to anyone.

Until recently I was a competitive fencer for 5 years for the Queen City Fencers Club. I often play video games with my friends. I love to play sports and joined an inter mural soccer league this year with a bunch of friends from school.

I have worked as a cake decorator and baker for the last three years at Andie’s Cakery. I love how culture is shared and combined through food. I love to cook for people and learning how to cook from all different cultures. I love trying flavors from countries I’ve never tried before.

I love music and playing guitar.

I’ve played ukulele and piano in the past but it’s my favorite instrument for sure. I’m a guitarist in a Blondie cover band with a bunch of other students at the School of Rock in Mason. I mostly listen to older rock music anywhere from the 60s-90s. I love Queen, The Beatles, Billy Joel, David Bowie, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, Audioslave, The Strokes, and The Arctic Monkeys.

I love how universal music is and how it can be understood by anyone no matter what language they speak.

There’s no limit to what can be created and conveyed through it.

I’ve learned recently that as I get older there’s going to be a lot of younger kids that are more talented than me.

I shouldn’t be intimidated or discouraged by people younger than me, but inspired to improve myself and proud of how someone young can be so talented. Whether it’s in music or school or anything else.

It’s a cliche but I look up to my parents because I’m so grateful for the life they built for my brother and I and I’m so happy about how they raised us. I couldn’t ask for better parents.

I take pictures with my DSLR camera everywhere we go on vacation and I love capturing the beauty of landscapes and candid crowds alike.

I love natural beauty like pretty sunsets and sunrises and stars in the night sky.

I procrastinate way too many things just because I know I can get it done just under the wire.

I was not at all ready and totally freaked out when I realized I had no choice but to graduate this year. It was a month until I began my junior year (or so I thought) when I got the text from my mom confirming a detail about college that guaranteed it just didn’t make sense to stay in high school another year. Instead of having another year with all of my friends, I had to get ready to leave them all early and start on college applications. The whole thing was a smack in the face and I still didn’t feel ready to leave until maybe two months ago.

After graduation I’m going to the University of Cincinnati Nursing School and hope to eventually become a Nurse Anesthetist.

In ten years I see myself as a Nurse Anesthetist probably still in Ohio and possibly playing guitar in a band in my free time.
