Octavia, a senior at CHS, is MJ’s daughter which makes her inherently cool and interesting. MJ is a deep sea diver doctor, blue fedora wearing, folding fan waving, peace-giving kind of mama. See:
Thanks MJ, for trusting me to photograph your absolutely stunning daughter and for fanning me while I worked in the thick August heat at Wegerzyn Gardens! It’s an honor to share this chapter of Octavia’s story…
One word to describe me is optimistic.
I like that I am thoughtful and a good listener.
I believe that those qualities make someone a good friend and person to confide in.
Sometimes I hold myself back in certain social situations.
Most people don’t know that I play the guitar, and I really like frogs.
I’ve learned in school how to work with others and make the most of a strange and isolating situation.
I play the violin.
Recently I joined a quartet- we play at nursing homes for the residents.
Music-wise I listen to pretty much everything, though alternative rock will always hold a special place in my heart.
This is also my third year as a lifeguard at my local pool…
saving lives everyday of course!
After High school I hope to go to OU and be accepted into the Honors Tutorial College program.
In ten years I hope to have a career in the sciences, or wherever my college journey takes me…
and I hope to travel the world.
