Storytelling at CoWo House in Springboro, OH

We shot Kat and Mariesa’s branding session at CoWo House, a boutique coworking and shared workspace right here in Springboro, Ohio. It provided the ideal casual, comfortable backdrop for capturing both individual headshots and collaborative client work.

Kat specializes in web design for wellness professionals, while Mariesa leads social media strategy. To highlight their hands-on workflow for potential clients, we captured their actual day-to-day tools in action:

Kat in Her Element: Capturing her with her computer—including shots of her holding her laptop angled toward the camera while wearing her branded logo t-shirt. These photos were intentionally framed so she can easily drop her web design client mockups right onto her screen for marketing and social media!

Mariesa at Work: Highlighting her with her phone, drafting social media content and engaging online.

Team Collaboration: Candid group poses and brainstorming moments showing how they partner on client projects.

We even brought in custom styling for detailed process and product shots. Kat had shared a reference website with a warm, boho rug vibe that she loved, so I brought a rug from my own home to build a custom backdrop right inside the studio space. We also made sure to capture separate cozy, personal shots of Kat and Mariesa with their favorite mugs to add a relatable, everyday feel to their gallery.

Brainstorming creative ways to weave both aesthetic visions and personal touches into a client’s shoot is always one of my favorite parts of the process!

Golden Hour Outdoor Headshots

After finishing up our lifestyle shots, we took advantage of the setting sun right outside CoWo House. Finding great portraits doesn’t need to be complicated—often, all it takes is a pocket of natural greenery and beautiful golden hour light used in a simple way.

The soft, warm outdoor light gave us stunning, relaxed portraits and fresh individual headshots that feel approachable, glowing, and completely natural. The entire shoot was lighthearted, personal, and full of laughs—exactly how a professional brand photoshoot should feel.

Local Creatives Supporting Local Business

Kat and Mariesa walked away with an expansive gallery of custom images to elevate their brand, and working together was an absolute joy. Supporting fellow local entrepreneurs like Kelli from Kelli’s Body Shop, and Tammy from Inner Peace, is one of my favorite parts of working in the Miami Valley—whether through creative collaborations or connecting with fellow members through the Springboro Chamber of Commerce. In fact, Kat is currently auditing my website to help me refine and grow my own user experience!
