Riley is a senior at Ross Township High School and a star player for the Ross Rams football and basketball teams. But more importantly, he’s my sweet nephew, one of those rare gems- a focused and fierce athlete with a kind and gentle soul. He’s a real treasure to our family. It’s been super fun...
Sam is a senior at Little Miami High School. He wants to be a music teacher and is a full of passion for the arts. We shot his senior session at my new Ohio favorite, historic downtown Loveland. From rod iron stairs and backlit balcony at Bishop’s Quarter, through trees and sunlight and reflecting down...
Adelaide is a senior at Springboro High School. She wants to be a doctor and loves nature. We shot her session at Cox Arboretum Metropark, where I have to admit, I usually struggle to find authentic inspiration; not this time though. Adelaide, with her dark eyes and bright smiles was all the muse I needed....
Kendall graduated this spring from the Warren County Career Center. She was in the Digital Media Arts program and plans on going to Sinclair this fall. Kendall wants to be a photographer and loves Taylor Swift (scroll down to her Story Album for 1989 inspo). We shot her session in downtown Middletown starting with brick...
Jenna is Luke’s sister and is graduating early from CinDay Academy. The only problem I had photographing Jenna’s senior session was that I didn’t want to stop! We had over a thousand pictures of creative fun exploring downtown Miamisburg at sunset and jamming out at Hauer music store. Thanks to the laid back peeps at...
I had such a chill time photographing Luke at The Dayton Art Institute. Luke is the first college senior I’ve photographed and is graduating from Miami University this spring. He’s got big dreams and even more importantly, big heart… One word to describe me is respectful. I like my work ethic and drive. I’m involved...
Jaden is AriAnne’s son, Cole’s identical twin and Niah’s younger brother. I photographed Niah’s woodland senior session last year at Aullwood Garden Metropark around the same time. This year, I was so excited to meet Niah’s twin brothers and photograph them in a completely different setting- downtown Dayton near Chaminade Julienne High School. Their mom, AriAnne, told...
Cole is AriAnne’s son, Jaden’s identical twin and Niah’s younger brother. I photographed Niah’s woodland senior session last year at Aullwood Garden around the same time. Juliana’s senior session was a fun new challenge for me because I’ve never (can you believe it?) photographed horses OR Caesar’s Creek Gorge. The horses were majestic and the gorge was too! Juliana is my second senior from the Warren County Career Center and I just loved capturing her sweet animal lovin’ soul… One word...
When Noah’s mom, Sarah, called me to inquire about taking her son’s senior pictures, she told me with a voice that smiled that Noah was a country boy. My voice must’ve smiled right back when I said, I can’t wait to photograph him! You see, I just love capturing ALL the people with ALL the personalities. Not...
Preston is the second senior Levier boy I’ve been privileged to photograph. We choose Oakes Quarry Park, a desert-like oasis located in Fairborn as a backdrop for Preston’s unique personality. Even though he looks a lot like his older brother Parker, Preston has a whole different energy about him. He reminds me of my own...
Ava is a bright light who shines smiles on all around her. She and her family just moved to the area recently just in time for her to finish out her high school career at Dayton Christian School. Her senior session in the Oregon District was full of energy, dance moves and of course, lots of...
Rachel is a theatre girl and her senior session shows it! I loved how dramatic and fierce she was in front of my camera- parts of her session felt like poetry to me. And is there anywhere else like Wegerzyn Gardens in the fall? It’s a different kind of magic- shadowy and shifting like a slow...
Logan’s one of those guys who makes it impossible for you not to like him. His senior session was full of laughter, good vibes and go with the flow energy. I’m sure the fact that Logan has EIGHT brothers and sisters might have something to do with his easygoing personality. I had never shot a...
When Shannon told me she wanted a Phantom of the Opera aesthetic for her senior photography session, I was pretty jazzed up in a way only an ex-showchoir girl could be. (Jazz hands!) I was on mission to find an epic location. After a few failed attempts to connect with local opera houses and theaters,...
Val is MJ’s daughter and Octavia’s younger sister. I photographed Octavia’s senior pics last year at Wegerzyn Gardens around the same time. I have to say, it was pretty neat to photograph two sisters in the same place. Both sessions have a thread of familiarity running through them and yet, a distinctive personality all their own- like...
When planning senior photography sessions the most common question I get is: Where should we take the pictures? Now, every photographer is different, but I prefer tailoring each session to each individual client. It’s more work but it’s also more fun! I love getting to know my clients and then figuring out the perfect location to...
Caitlin’s senior session was as authentic as she is. We started inside her Uncle’s stunning Victorian home filled with warm wood and instruments. Then we headed out back to find us a funky and fancy garden fit with a chandelier and chamomile. After that we headed over to Wegerzyn Gardens just in time for a...
Springtime in Ohio reminds me that I believe in miracles. Every year somehow, I forget but the daffodils, with their happy smiles invite me to remember. For her senior pictures, Niah, her mom and I explored Aullwood Garden Metropark for the first time and were delighted by the most glorious spring array any of us...
Winter in Ohio is not for the faint of heart. It’s cold, gray and we’re all a little depressed. Most of us want to stay inside wrapped in blankets and warm puppies but thank God for bold and bright souls like Briaja, a high school senior who shines no matter what the season, reminding us...
